Iran’s Supreme Leader Sends Message to Hezbollah Chief, Reaffirms Support for Resistance

Tehran, Iran — Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Sayyid Mojtaba Khamenei, has sent a message to the Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Sheikh Naim Qassem, expressing appreciation and reaffirming continued support for the resistance movement.

In the message, Khamenei acknowledged receiving a condolence letter from the Hezbollah leader over the martyrdom of a prominent figure in the Islamic Revolution, describing the gesture as one filled with compassion and solidarity on behalf of fighters in Lebanon.

He emphasized that resilience, patience, and steadfastness in the face of powerful adversaries remain central principles of the resistance movement, particularly in confronting the United States and Israel.

According to him, the struggle has, over the years, produced notable figures, including Qassem Soleimani and other senior commanders within Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), whose sacrifices continue to symbolize the legitimacy of the movement’s cause.

Khamenei noted that the history of Islamic resistance is deeply rooted in perseverance, sacrifice, and martyrdom, adding that its leaders have consistently demonstrated courage and commitment despite mounting challenges.

He highlighted key Hezbollah figures, including Sheikh Ragheb Harb, Abbas al-Musawi, Hassan Nasrallah, and Hashem Safieddine, describing them as enduring symbols of leadership and sacrifice.

Addressing Sheikh Naim Qassem directly, Khamenei expressed confidence in his leadership, citing his experience, wisdom, and bravery as essential qualities needed at a critical moment in the resistance’s history.

He further stated that Iran’s policy, rooted in the principles of the late Imam Khomeini, remains firmly committed to supporting resistance movements opposing Israel and the United States.

The message concluded with a note of optimism, expressing hope for continued strength and eventual success for the people of Lebanon.
